Amazon Prime Video is open to working on 'Doctor Who' if approached by the BBC. The statement was made by UK-based exec Oliver Jones at the Edinburgh TV Festival, where he and Amazon MGM exec Nicole Clemens discussed potential collaborations.

Jones said, 'I love Doctor Who, and we welcome any conversations around IP.'

While there's no indication that Prime Video is actively pursuing a deal for the show, many at the festival interpreted Jones' remark as a sign that they wouldn't rule out partnering with the BBC if given the opportunity.

This news comes as Prime Video ramps up its production slate in the UK, with plans to create more local content for British audiences. The streamer recently announced its first Stephen King adaptation, a series based on 'Crouch End,' which will be filmed in the UK.
