Amazon Faces Scandal Over TB Outbreak at Coventry Fulfilment Centre
A tuberculosis outbreak at Amazon's Coventry fulfilment centre has sparked calls for a full investigation from the GMB Union.
The incident, which involved over 3,000 employees, was first reported earlier this year and it later emerged that the company had known about infections months before staff were informed.
Rachel Fagan, GMB Organiser, said: 'Amazon has time and time again been accused of not caring about workers' health and safety. This outbreak is a national outrage; we cannot allow one of the world's wealthiest corporations to quietly ignore an outbreak on this scale.'
The union has called for immediate infection control measures and has demanded that Amazon meets with them to discuss the issue.
