Amazon Forecasts Record-Breaking Revenue Amid Controversy Over Late Trading
Amazon's (AMZN) financials are setting new records, with a forecasted revenue of over $828 billion for fiscal year 2026. This represents an increase of around 15.5% from the previous year.
The company is also investing heavily in artificial intelligence (AI), with capex expected to reach approximately $280 billion by fiscal year 2027. According to Amazon, these investments should pay off within two to three years and generate strong cash flow for another two to three years after that.
However, there's a controversy surrounding one of the company's politicians. Representative Michael Rulli has been accused of late trading, as his filings for 32 trades, including Amazon, were submitted after the STOCK Act's 45-day disclosure window.
