Amazon Halts Operations with Cargo Carrier After Deadly Plane Crash in Miami
E-commerce giant Amazon has suspended operations with cargo carrier 21 Air after a fatal plane crash in Miami last weekend.
The Boeing 767-300 cargo plane, operated by 21 Air, overshot the runway at Miami International Airport on September 6, crashing into nearby vehicles and killing five people. Five others were injured in the incident.
Amazon spokesperson Kelly Nantel said that safety has always been the company's top priority, whether in its own operations or when working with partners. 'We'll continue working to support the investigation and everyone affected,' she added.
