Amazon Hikes Smart Home Device Prices Amid Rising Manufacturing Costs

Amazon has quietly increased prices on its smart home devices, joining other tech companies in passing rising manufacturing costs onto consumers.

The price hikes affect various Amazon products, including Fire TV, Echo, eero, and Kindle devices. In some cases, the increases are as steep as $100 more than the original price.

The affected products include the Fire TV Stick 4K Max, which now costs $149 from its previous price of $119. Similarly, the Echo Dot Max is now priced at $229 from $199.

Amazon attributed the price increases to rising memory and storage component costs, stating that they had absorbed these costs for as long as possible before making adjustments.
