Amazon Integrates Cheaper AI Model from Anthropic into Cloud Platform

Amazon has integrated Anthropic's Claude Fable 5.1 into its Amazon Bedrock and Claude Platform on AWS, making it possible for customers to access the AI model at a significantly lower cost.

The new pricing is expected to make typical token-based workloads 25% cheaper than Fable 5, while highly agentic work could see savings of up to 45%.

This move is part of Amazon's massive partnership with Anthropic, which has committed over $100 billion to AWS technology over ten years and reserved up to five gigawatts of capacity. The partnership also allows for the spread of workloads across more than one million Trainium2 chips.
