Amazon Invests Billions in Nevada, Boosting Economy and Job Market
Amazon has invested over $20 billion in Nevada and contributed more than $15 billion to the state's economy. The company employs over 17,000 full- and part-time employees and supports an additional 10,000 indirect jobs.
Through its Career Choice program, Amazon partners with four educational institutions in Nevada to provide tuition-free education for employees. Since 2019, over 3,200 employees have participated in the program, gaining in-demand skills that can propel them into new careers.
Amazon's investments in Nevada also include the construction of fulfillment centers, delivery stations, and Whole Foods Market locations. The company has expanded its sustainable infrastructure with seven solar farms and seven sites with on-site solar power in the state.
