Amazon Issues Pound Bonds Amid AI Funding Push
Amazon has announced plans to issue its first pound-denominated bonds, as part of its ongoing efforts to finance its artificial intelligence infrastructure. The move is in line with Amazon's strategy to raise funds globally and support its ambitious capital expenditures, which are projected to reach $220 billion this year.
The issuance will be managed by major banks including JPMorgan, Barclays, HSBC, and NatWest Group Plc, and will feature maturities ranging from 3 to 19 years. This is a significant step for Amazon, following its recent success in the euro bond market where it executed the largest corporate bond issuance in euro history.
Amazon's current Price-to-Sales (P/S) ratio stands at approximately 3.4x, which is notably higher than its historical median. The GF Value for Amazon is calculated at $247.80, indicating that the stock is currently trading at approximately 4.3% overvalued compared to this intrinsic value.
