Amazon Job Scam Texts Spread Again with New Twist
A new wave of fake Amazon job texts has emerged, promising remote work paying as much as $600 a day. The scam messages claim to come from various recruiters and promise 'stress-free' tasks with generous pay and benefits.
The messages often contain red flags, such as vague job descriptions, unusually high pay, and requests to contact another number. Recipients are told they must be at least 23 years old and that there are only 18 positions available.
A July 2026 BBB Scam Tracker report shows a nearly identical scam using different recruiter names and phone numbers. Amazon has confirmed it is aware of these impersonation attempts and advises consumers to verify jobs through the company's official website and not engage with suspicious recruiters.
