Amazon Joins YouTube Shopping Affiliate Program for Creators

YouTube has partnered with Amazon to allow creators to include affiliate links to Amazon products in their content. This move is seen as a significant boost for YouTube's creator ecommerce platform, which now allows eligible creators to link out to Amazon product listings from videos, Shorts, and livestreams.

The commission earned by creators on any purchases made through these links could be an attractive addition for viewers who want to make a purchase based on recommendations from content creators. With this partnership, YouTube is making it easier for its creators to monetize their content and earn extra income.

This development follows YouTube's decision in March to lower the subscriber threshold for creators to participate in the ecommerce system. The company claims that more than 1 million people have signed up to participate in YouTube Shopping, with the affiliate program recently launched in Argentina, Mexico, and the UK.
