Amazon Leaps Ahead of Microsoft After Blowout Quarter

Amazon's AWS segment surged 37% in the quarter, its fastest growth in 18 quarters, while Azure climbed 43%. Amazon's operating income jumped 43.24% year-over-year, even as capital expenditures skyrocketed by 68.44%
The key difference lies in their focus areas: Amazon is building a full-stack business with AI and chip developments, while Microsoft has narrowed its focus to enterprise cloud services, Copilot, GitHub, and Dynamics.
