Amazon Locks in 200MW Swedish Wind Energy for Data Centre Expansion

Amazon has secured long-term electricity contracts with four Swedish wind energy facilities, owned by Eolus AB and OX2 AB. These agreements will contribute approximately 200 megawatts of additional power capacity to Amazon's portfolio in Sweden.

The new contracts support the e-commerce giant's continued expansion of data centre infrastructure across the Nordic territories. When completed, Amazon's total electricity supply in Sweden will exceed 1 gigawatt.

The Swedish renewable energy developers Eolus AB and OX2 AB are constructing the four facilities, with private equity company EQT AB holding ownership of OX2. However, Amazon has not revealed the financial parameters of these power purchase agreements.
