Amazon Market Value Dips Below $3 Trillion Amid AWS Growth
Amazon's market value has dipped below $3 trillion after the company's stock price dropped 2.3% to $271.57 on August 11, 2026.
The decline came after Amazon temporarily topped $3 trillion in market capitalization earlier in the day.
AWS is a major contributor to Amazon's revenue and profit, accounting for around 60% of operating income in the second quarter and generating sales of $42.2 billion with an operating margin of 39.3%.
Despite AWS' strong performance, Amazon reported negative trailing free cash flow of $7.6 billion due to increased spending on property and equipment, including investments in AI.
