Amazon MGM Picks Up Rights to Lauren Asher's Motorsport Romance Novel Throttled
Amazon MGM Studios has acquired the rights to Lauren Asher's novel 'Throttled', a motorsport racing romance that follows an ambitious young woman who joins her brother on the racing circuit and falls into a forbidden, high-stakes romance with her brother's ruthless teammate.
The adaptation will star Josh Heuston from the hit romantic drama series 'Off Campus' and be directed by Nzingha Stewart. The script is being adapted by Melissa Osborne, and Max Handelman and Elizabeth Banks of Brownstone Productions are producing along with Ethea Entertainment's Jennifer Gibgot and Andrew Panay.
The package has a history with Amazon MGM, including Heuston, Stewart, Osborne, and producer Grant, who worked on the upcoming Prime Video series 'The Man With the Bag' starring Arnold Schwarzenegger and Alan Ritchson.
