Amazon MGM's New James Bond Search Nears Completion: Who Will Take on the Iconic Role?
The search for the next James Bond actor has reportedly reached its final stages, with sources indicating that Amazon MGM Studios may have already found their candidate.
The role will be played by the seventh actor to take on the iconic character, following in the footsteps of Sean Connery, George Lazenby, Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton, Pierce Brosnan, and Daniel Craig.
Nina Gold is leading the search for a new 007, with Denis Villeneuve directing the untitled Bond film. The shortlist reportedly includes Jack Lowden, Callum Turner, Jacob Elordi, Paul Mescal, Harris Dickinson, and Jack Barton, with some sources suggesting that only one or two actors are still in consideration.
Amy Pascal, a producer on the new Bond film, has hinted that we may learn who the new 007 is by the end of this year. However, longtime Bond casting director Debbie McWilliams has expressed her reservations about the rumored stars taking on the role, stating that they should retain an air of mystery.
