Amazon Package Dispute Turns Deadly in Wilton Manors

A dispute over an Amazon package led to a nearly two-hour barricade situation in Wilton Manors, Florida. The incident began when a resident, who has not been named, pulled out a gun after accusing an Amazon delivery driver of taking his package.

Security video shows the driver leaving a package at the door, then picking it up again minutes later. The resident became agitated and took out a gun.

The situation escalated into a barricaded standoff that lasted for nearly two hours. The Fort Lauderdale Police Department's SWAT team and crisis negotiators were called in to assist.
