Amazon Plane Misses Dozens of Tesla Cybercabs by Narrow Margin
A recent incident at Miami International Airport highlighted the growing presence of Tesla's Cybercabs in the city. On Sunday, an Amazon Air Boeing 767 freighter overran a runway while landing, narrowly missing dozens of Tesla Cybercabs parked nearby.
The aircraft, registered as N1997A and operated by 21 Air for Amazon, overran the airport's diagonal runway after arriving from San Juan, Puerto Rico. It left the airfield, struck several vehicles, caught fire, and came to rest on its belly beside a perimeter road.
According to photographs and video from the scene, rows of gold-painted Tesla Cybercabs are visible within a few car-lengths of the aircraft's nose. However, neither Tesla nor Miami-Dade Fire Rescue has confirmed whether any of the vehicles were struck or damaged.
