Amazon Prime Air Drone Delivery to Reach Nearly 500 US Cities by 2026
Amazon is expanding its Prime Air drone delivery service to nearly 500 U.S. cities and towns by the end of 2026, with some orders arriving in as fast as 30 minutes.
The company currently operates from 11 locations across 10 metro areas, where drones have already delivered hundreds of thousands of packages this year.
Each Prime Air site can cover about 175 square miles, allowing one launch location to reach several nearby cities and towns. This means that Amazon is not necessarily building a drone hub in every single city, but rather covering larger areas with a smaller number of sites.
