Amazon Prime Video Lands Exclusive Streaming Rights for Six NHL Teams

Amazon Prime Video has secured exclusive local streaming rights for six National Hockey League (NHL) teams, expanding its sports offerings. The platform will broadcast games of the Anaheim Ducks, Carolina Hurricanes, Columbus Blue Jackets, Dallas Stars, Minnesota Wild, and St. Louis Blues within each team's regional territory.

The deal makes Amazon Prime Video the exclusive streaming home for these six teams, with some exceptions. Stars and Ducks games will be included with a Prime membership, while the other four teams' games can be streamed for $20/month or $100/year without a Prime subscription. Teams also have the option to distribute certain games over-the-air for TV viewers.

This move marks a significant expansion of Amazon's sports presence, which has been growing steadily since it began streaming non-nationally televised NHL games with the Seattle Kraken in 2024. The company can now offer in-market streaming for 34 teams across MLB, NBA, NHL, and WNBA through direct team deals or regional channels.
