Amazon Products Now Taggable by YouTube Creators
YouTube is integrating Amazon products into its native tagging flow, allowing eligible creators to tag Amazon products directly in Shorts, long-form videos, and livestreams. This feature is part of YouTube's Shopping affiliate program with participating retailers, which aims to make the monetization layer follow the content.
The update includes a curated catalog of highly requested and trending products that creators can tag in their content, as well as auto-tagging. When enabled, YouTube's systems can review a creator's recent uploads and identify eligible Amazon products that could be tagged.
Only eligible U.S. creators can currently tag Amazon products, and they will not see product-level or video-level breakdowns in their analytics. Instead, they will see overall daily earnings inside YouTube Studio.
