Amazon Raises £4.25 Billion Through Sterling-Denominated Notes Offering
Amazon has successfully completed the sale of £4.25 billion in sterling-denominated notes across multiple maturities.
The offering included four series of notes, with a total aggregate public offering price of £4.242 billion and estimated net proceeds of approximately £4.235 billion after deducting underwriting discounts but before offering expenses.
These notes will have varying interest rates: 5.200% for the £1.25 billion due in 2029, 5.550% for the £1 billion due in 2032, 6.250% for the £1 billion due in 2038, and 6.650% for the £1 billion due in 2045.
This move is part of Amazon's strategy to diversify its borrowing currencies, aligning with a broader trend among tech companies.
