Amazon has launched its bulk storage service, Amazon Warehousing & Distribution (AWD), in five European countries. The service allows sellers to store their products with Amazon for extended periods and replenish stock at Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) centers based on demand.

Starting August 20th, AWD will be available in Germany, France, Italy, Spain, and the United Kingdom - Europe's five largest ecommerce markets where Amazon is the leading player. The company plans to use its existing distribution infrastructure for AWD, offering a flat-rate storage fee and automated replenishment to FBA centers.

AWD gives sellers more flexibility to store inventory without FBA capacity constraints, reducing the risk of stock-outs during peak periods like Prime Day and Black Friday. This increased control over logistics also positions Amazon as an ally to European SMEs and a catalyst for their growth.
