Amazon Smashes $3 Trillion Market Cap Barrier
Amazon.com, the US e-commerce giant, broke through a significant barrier on Monday by surpassing $3 trillion in market capitalization. This achievement makes Amazon the fifth company globally to reach this milestone, following Apple, Nvidia, Microsoft, and Alphabet.
The company's stock value rose by up to 5.75% shortly after trading began on Wall Street, allowing it to hit a valuation of approximately $3.07 trillion. This marks a significant addition to Amazon's market worth, which has increased by over two years since it first crossed the $2 trillion threshold in June 2024.
Despite having accumulated a revaluation of nearly 26% so far this year, Amazon's stock price surged significantly after its quarterly results presentation last Thursday. The company reported a net profit of $62.647 billion for the second quarter of 2026, representing a year-on-year increase of 245%. Revenue also grew by 19.6%, driven by a 37% expansion in AWS revenues.
