Amazon Stock Dives into Oversold Territory Amid Regulatory Pressure
Amazon's stock price has dropped nearly 4% over the past week to $254.9, pushing it deeper into oversold territory according to technical signals.
The company reported its Q2 2026 results on August 1, showing group net sales rose 20% year over year to $200.6 billion, driven by strong growth in its Amazon Web Services (AWS) segment.
AWS revenue grew 36.7% year over year to $42.2 billion in Q2 2026, marking its fastest quarterly growth rate in over four years.
However, some gains were later tempered as the U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC) reportedly sued Amazon over its advertising practices, putting pressure on the stock.
