Amazon Stock Soars on AWS Growth Signal
AWS's accelerating growth is the primary reason everyone is talking about Amazon (NASDAQ: AMZN) stock, according to The Motley Fool.
This growth signal is reminiscent of a similar one that occurred in 2009 for Nvidia, a little-known chipmaker at the time. Today, it is flashing again, but this time for a company much smaller than Nvidia.
The Motley Fool Stock Advisor analyst team has identified the 10 best stocks to buy now, and Amazon was not included on the list. In fact, if you had invested $1,000 in Amazon based on previous recommendations, you would have seen returns of only 955% compared to the S&P 500's 214%.
Netflix made it onto the list in December 2004, with a recommended investment of $1,000 growing to over $400,155. Nvidia also made the cut in April 2005, resulting in returns of over $1,345,502.
