Amazon Stores Chief Exercises RSUs, Sells 3,741 Shares Under Pre-Set Plan
A top Amazon executive has sold nearly four thousand shares of the company's stock under a pre-set plan, according to regulatory filings.
Douglas J. Herrington, CEO of Worldwide Amazon Stores, exercised 9,352 restricted stock units (RSUs) on August 15, converting them into common stock at no cost. As part of this transaction, he also indirectly held six thousand six hundred nine shares through his Amazon.com 401(k) plan account.
However, the most notable transactions occurred on August 17 when Herrington sold 3,741 shares under a Rule 10b5-1 trading plan adopted in November 2025. The sales were made at weighted-average prices ranging from $262 to $265 per share, resulting in gross sale proceeds of approximately $983,000.
