Amazon Sued by FTC and 22 States Over Alleged Ad Price Inflation
The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and 22 states have filed a lawsuit against Amazon, alleging that it defrauded advertising customers by inflating auction prices for online ads. The complaint claims that Amazon misled its 1.2 million advertising customers on the prices of several ad products, resulting in higher costs for them.
According to the FTC, Amazon engaged in unfair and deceptive conduct, impacting millions of advertising customers who were misled into paying significantly higher prices. In response, Amazon released a blog post stating that the FTC's allegations are 'patently false.'
