Amazon Swansea Team Gives Back to Matthew's House Community Initiative
Amazon employees from its Swansea fulfilment centre recently volunteered at Matthew's House, a local initiative that supports people facing homelessness, poverty, and social isolation.
The team spent the day cleaning and painting areas of the building to create a brighter and more welcoming space for those who use it.
'It was fantastic to see our team giving their time and energy to support Matthew's House,' said Chris Bailey, Site Leader at the Amazon fulfilment centre in Swansea. 'The initiative provides an important service to people across Swansea.'
Amazon has a long history of supporting local communities through employee volunteering and community donations.
The company's Multibank initiative with former UK Prime Minister Gordon Brown has donated over 12 million surplus goods to over 800,000 families across Wales, Scotland, Greater Manchester, London, Tees Valley, and Birmingham.
