Amazon has launched its Prime Air drone delivery service in Omaha, Nebraska. The new site is the company's eleventh Prime Air market in the United States and marks its first foray into the state of Nebraska.

The service will allow customers within a 7.5-mile radius of Amazon's Highway 370 fulfillment center to receive deliveries from their homes in under two hours, with some packages arriving as quickly as 20 minutes.

Prime members can enjoy free drone delivery on orders over $50, while non-members pay $4.99 per delivery.

The operation will start with 12 drones and is expected to grow to 30, creating about 30 new jobs in the area.
