Amazon has appointed cybersecurity veteran Kevin Mandia to its Board of Directors. He will also serve on the company's Audit and Security Committees, according to a recent SEC Form 8-K filing.

Mandia brings extensive experience in security expertise to his new role at Amazon. He is currently the CEO of Armadin, Inc., a cybersecurity company he founded in September 2025. Before this, he was a General Partner at Ballistic Ventures, a venture capital firm he co-founded, where he served since June 2024.

Mandia's most notable previous role was as CEO of Mandiant, Inc., a leading cybersecurity firm that was acquired by Google LLC in September 2022. He led Mandiant from June 2016 to July 2024 and served as a director from February 2016 to September 2022.

In connection with his appointment, Mandia received a restricted stock unit award under Amazon's 1997 Stock Incentive Plan for 4,086 shares of common stock. The award is scheduled to vest in three equal annual installments beginning on November 15, 2027, contingent upon his continued service as a director.
