Amazon is upgrading its Fire TV devices to include Alexa Plus for free. Starting today, users in the US with an Amazon Fire TV Stick, Fire TV Cube, or other TV with Alexa Plus built-in will get access to the more conversational AI assistant.

Alexa Plus can provide movie recommendations based on your mood and help you jump to specific scenes during a film. It also allows for smart home device control, enabling users to adjust lighting, lock doors, view camera feeds, and more.

Amazon says it will automatically upgrade all Fire TV owners to Alexa Plus in the US. The company also mentions that additional devices and regions may be added over time.
