Amazon Warriors Lose Key Players to International Duty
The Guyana Amazon Warriors have been dealt a significant blow in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) as they lose two key players, Mohammad Nabi and Rahmanullah Gurbaz, to international duty. The duo from Afghanistan will join their national team for a three-match T20I series against India starting on September 13.
Nabi has been instrumental in the Warriors' success this season, taking 12 wickets at an economy rate of 5.80 runs per over. He is also a skilled batsman and fielder, which made his loss crucial for the team. Captain Imran Tahir praised Nabi's all-round abilities, saying he was 'an absolute legend' and one of the best offspinners in the world.
Gurbaz has also been a valuable contributor to the Warriors this season, scoring 93 runs in two innings. He will be replaced by Bangladesh all-rounder Mehidy Hasan Miraz and Pakistan wicketkeeper-batsman Mohammad Haris, who have joined the team for the rest of the CPL season.
