Amazon's Resilient Growth Makes it an Attractive Investment Option
Investing $1,000 in a single stock can be daunting due to various market uncertainties. To find a suitable investment, one must look for a company that thrives in the new normal of AI and remains resilient even if the artificial intelligence boom falters.
A company with a profitable and growing business, bullish momentum, reasonable price, and protective moat is ideal. According to Rick Munarriz, Amazon (AMZN) checks off many of these boxes.
Amazon's latest quarter saw a 20% rise in net sales, its strongest top-line jump in five years. Its cloud-hosting business, AWS, rose 37%, generating more than half of the company's operating profit. The e-commerce business also improved, with revenue rising 16% in North America and 15% internationally.
Amazon's large size gives it a competitive advantage in last-mile logistics. Despite investing $1 billion to improve its AI dominance this year, Amazon is still delivering on the bottom line. Its forward earnings multiple is in the mid-20s, which is considered reasonable for a company with such advantages.
