AMD GPUs Get DLSS NR Boost
Nvidia's DLSS 5 Neural Rendering technology has been ported to AMD graphics cards by modder Daniel Blanco. The mod, available on GitHub, allows users of modern AMD GPUs to use DLSS NR in any DirectX 12 game that uses FSR.
The current implementation is slow, running Cyberpunk 2077 at 28 FPS at 1080p on a Radeon RX 9070 XT. However, the mod's creator hopes to improve performance and potentially rival Nvidia's RTX 5070 Ti.
DLLS NR uses generic AI compute and does not require specialized hardware features to operate, making it possible for AMD GPUs to run the technology.
