The Nvidia RTX 5080 is an expensive GPU that offers top-notch performance but comes at a hefty price tag of around $2,000. This has led to a search for more affordable alternatives, and AMD's RX 7900 XTX and RX 9070-XT are two options worth considering.

The RX 7900 XTX sports 24GB of GDDR6 memory with a 2,615 megahertz GPU clock speed and costs around $1,300. In contrast, the RX 9070-XT packs 16GB of GDDR6 RAM and a 2,520 megahertz clock speed at a price point of around $800.

While these AMD cards can deliver decent performance, they lag behind the RTX 5080 in terms of technology. The RX 7900 XTX is about 10% slower than the Nvidia card, and both AMD options struggle with ray tracing.
