American Airlines has unveiled its most premium plane yet, featuring 70 lie-flat business class seats and 44 premium economy seats.
The Boeing 777-300ER aircraft is the first of 20 planes to be retrofitted by 2027, with upgraded amenities including wireless charging pads, adjustable calf and footrests, and personal storage spaces in each seat.
The airline's chief commercial officer, Nat Pieper, described the new plane as 'the embodiment of American's ambitions.'
The retrofit comes as the airline celebrates its 100th anniversary, with a focus on elevating the premium experience for passengers. American Airlines is rolling out the upgraded planes to destinations including London, Tokyo, São Paulo, Buenos Aires, and Sydney.
