American Airlines Unveils New Premium-Coded Boeing 777-300ER
American Airlines has unveiled its most premium-configured aircraft yet, featuring upgraded business-class seats and improved amenities. The Boeing 777-300ER was retrofitted with 70 Flagship Suite business-class seats, including sliding privacy doors and additional storage. This upgrade replaces American's current long-haul first-class product, known as Flagship First.
The newly refurbished aircraft can carry up to 330 passengers across four classes: business, premium economy, Main Cabin Extra, and standard economy. Business-class passengers will enjoy priority check-in, security, boarding, and baggage handling, as well as access to American's Flagship lounges where available and multicourse dining on board.
American plans to retrofit all 20 of its 777-300ERs by the end of 2027, expanding the upgraded product to more long-haul routes. The airline currently operates these aircraft on destinations including Sydney, Tokyo, Buenos Aires, London, and São Paulo, with the first retrofitted jet entering service Wednesday between New York-JFK and Buenos Aires.
