Lord Alan Sugar has expressed frustration after being denied an increase to his credit limit by American Express, despite his reported net worth of £1.138 billion.

Sugar took to X (formerly Twitter) on Monday to share his experience with the card issuer, stating that he spent over an hour on the phone with four different representatives before finally speaking to someone in the UK who knew him and his financial status.

However, despite this, American Express refused to increase his credit limit due to their system, leaving Sugar to express his disappointment with the company.
