American Express Delinquency Rates Climb Amid Near-Fair-Value Trading

American Express has reported its delinquency and write-off rates for its US Consumer and Small Business card portfolios. For July, the company's U.S. Consumer card balances held for investment stood at $113.1 billion, with a 30-day delinquency rate of 1.1%. The net write-off rate was 1.7%.

The same period saw total US Small Business card balances reach $46.1 billion, with a 30-day delinquency rate of 1.3% and a net write-off rate of 2.6%

American Express also provided data for its Credit Account Master Trust, which reported an ending principal balance of $24.9 billion as of July 31.
