Henry 'Hank' Bernard Krug passed away on July 29, 2026, after a 14-month battle with esophageal cancer. Born at Vandenberg Air Force Base in Santa Barbara County, California, Hank grew up playing various sports and moving to different locations throughout his childhood and teenage years.

He graduated from Carmel High School in 1987 and later attended New Mexico State University's PGA Golf Management program, earning a bachelor's degree in 1996. After college, Krug began working as an Assistant Golf Professional at Orange Tree Golf Course in Phoenix, Arizona, where he met his wife of 22 years, Marisa.

Krug continued to work at American Express for nearly 15 years, starting as a Technical Integration Project Manager and eventually becoming a Program Manager. He was remembered by friends and family as loyal, hardworking, and sarcastically witty, with a passion for golf and cooking.
