American Express Offers Limited-Time 30% Bonus for Transferring Points to Airline Loyalty Programs

American Express is offering a limited-time bonus for transferring Membership Rewards points to certain airline loyalty programs. The promotion, which ends on September 27, offers a 30% bonus on transfers to Aer Lingus, British Airways, and Iberia.

Each of these programs has its own unique award charts and redemption advantages. Travelers can use the transferred Avios points to book transatlantic flights or European hops at discounted rates. For example, Aer Lingus awards start at 13,000 Avios for U.S.-to-Dublin economy flights.

However, missing this deadline means losing out on 30% extra value on every transfer. Some sweet spots, like Qsuite redemptions or transatlantic business class, may not be available later - or will cost significantly more without the bonus.
