American Express Travel Expands Luxury Hotel Network by Over 400 Properties
American Express Travel has significantly expanded its luxury hotel network by adding over 400 properties across 49 new destinations. The updated network now comprises more than 3,100 curated hotels across 114 countries and territories.
The expansion reflects a growing trend in experiential travel, where high-end travelers prioritize personalized experiences, local connections, and verified wellness offerings. American Express Travel's premium hotel network is designed to meet this demand by offering boutique properties, luxury resorts, and urban escapes that provide a direct connection to local history, culinary traditions, and environmental initiatives.
The company has segmented its portfolio into two distinct networks: Fine Hotels + Resorts, tailored for Platinum and Centurion card members, and The Hotel Collection, accessible to Gold and Platinum members. Eligible card members booking through these programs receive value-added benefits, including daily breakfast, room upgrades, a $100 property credit, and guaranteed late checkout at 4:00 PM.
The expansion includes new properties in popular travel markets such as Italy, France, Japan, Singapore, Thailand, the United States, and Mexico. Many of the newly added boutique resorts emphasize sustainable practices, local sourcing, and community conservation projects, directly supporting regional families and preserving heritage assets.
