Amex 30% Bonus to Avios Kicks In

The long-awaited 30% bonus to Avios is back, and it's a great opportunity for those with American Express Membership Rewards points to book some amazing flights. From now until September 27th, you can transfer your Amex points to British Airways Club, Iberia Club, or Aer Lingus AerClub and get a 30% bonus.

This means that booking business class from the East Coast to Dublin will only cost 39,000 transferred Amex points (plus $144 in taxes and fees), while flights from the West Coast to Hawaii can be booked for just 17,000 transferred Amex points (plus $5.60 in taxes and fees).

But remember that Avios are generally distance-based awards, so the farther you fly and the more connections you have, the more Avios you'll need.
