Amex Axing Reward Multiplier Program in India Next Month

American Express is ending its Reward Multiplier program in India on September 30, 2026. This perk allows cardholders to earn extra Membership Rewards points when shopping with select brands like Apple, Myntra, and Nykaa.

Amex notified customers via email about the change on August 26. The company is allowing customers to grab bonus points by shopping through its portal until September 29, 2026, at 11:59pm.

The Reward Multiplier program offers up to 5X points for Platinum cards and as much as 10X points for Centurion cardholders. After the September 30 cutoff, the main Membership Rewards program will remain intact, with existing points and regular earn rates unaffected.
