Amex Boosts Gold Card Perks with Hotel Bonus and Uber Credits

The American Express Gold Card has been updated to offer enhanced rewards for frequent travelers and diners. As part of the changes, cardholders will now earn 5X Membership Rewards points on prepaid hotel bookings made through Amex Travel platforms.

This update directly increases redemption value for travelers booking hotels through the platform. In addition to the increased point yield, Uber Cash benefits have also been expanded, with cardholders now receiving $10 in monthly credits, totaling $120 per year.

The updated Gold Card still offers dining credits that cover Grubhub, Resy, and Dunkin', although enrollment is required for these benefits. Supermarkets and restaurants continue to yield 4X points up to annual caps.
