Amex Boosts Hilton Transfers with 30% Bonus

American Express is offering a 30% transfer bonus to Hilton Honors members. This promotion runs through September 30, and it's been two years since Amex last launched a similar offer. Typically, Membership Rewards points transfer to Hilton on a 1,000:2,000 basis, but this bonus increases that ratio to 1,000:2,600.

However, the value of Hilton Honors points has decreased over the past two years, from around 0.45-0.5 cents per point to 0.35 cents per point. This means that unless you're getting outsized value, transferring Membership Rewards points to Hilton during this promotion may not be worth it.
