Amex Centurion Lounges Top JD Power's US Airport Lounge Satisfaction Study
A new study by JD Power surveyed 2,991 people who had visited an airport lounge in the US in the past year. The results show that American Express Centurion Lounges and Capital One Lounges are the top-rated lounges, tied for first place.
The study measured customer satisfaction across eight dimensions: value of experience, staff, food and beverage, cleanliness/upkeep, amenities, ease of accessing lounge, ambiance, and Wi-Fi service. Nearly half of respondents said they visited a lounge to escape crowded terminals.
A notable 39% of those surveyed said they went to a lounge because airport food and beverages were too expensive, while over half (52%) said the food and beverages offered in lounges were better than expected. Access to American Express Centurion Lounges is generally tied to eligible credit cards from the respective issuer.
