Amex Cuts Milestone Rewards on Platinum Travel Card in India
American Express is making significant changes to its Platinum Travel Credit Card in India. The card's milestone rewards are being reduced, which will impact cardholders' Membership Rewards points. From September 10, 2026, the Rs 1.9 lakh spending milestone will no longer offer an additional 7,500 Membership Rewards points.
The biggest change comes at the Rs 7 lakh spending milestone. Currently, cardholders receive 22,500 Membership Rewards points and a Rs 10,000 Taj voucher. Under the revised structure, they will get only 10,000 Membership Rewards points and a Rs 20,000 Taj Experiences e-Gift Card.
This shift in rewards means that cardholders are losing a significant portion of their Membership Rewards points, effectively taking away 30,000 points in exchange for an additional Rs 10,000 worth of Taj voucher value.
