Amex cardholders who book Air France or KLM flights can earn a massive bonus. American Express has rolled out a targeted Amex Offer that lets select cardholders earn 20,000 Membership Rewards points after spending $1,000 or more on eligible flights.

The promotion is available to those who add it to their card and complete the required spend by August 30, 2026. The travel date can occur after this deadline, but the ticket transaction must clear by then.

Flights must originate in the U.S., be billed in U.S. dollars, and be booked directly through AirFrance.us or KLM.com to qualify for the bonus.

The 20,000-point bonus is equivalent to a free economy seat across the Atlantic when transferred to partner programs like Virgin Atlantic.

To maximize this deal, Amex cardholders should attach the offer to the card that earns the highest base rewards on airfare and complete the $1,000 spend requirement by August 30.
