American Express is discontinuing two features for its Indian cardholders. The first change affects 'Check Your Spending Power', which allows users to check if a planned purchase will be approved, and it will cease from September 16. The company assures that this change will not affect the way transactions are authorized.

Another feature being discontinued is the Emergency Card Replacement service, which provides expedited delivery of a replacement card in emergency situations. This service will no longer be available from October 8.

The standard card replacement service will still be accessible to customers after this change, with an estimated timeline of 7-10 business days for delivery. American Express has clarified that this change is part of its ongoing efforts to adapt to the evolving needs and preferences of its card members.
